Event
Oct 13, 2015
In honor of National Coming Out Day, Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP and the firm's LGBT Affinity Network, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation and Out & Equal Chicagoland hosted a program, “Shattering the Glass Closet: Why Coming Out is Good For You, Good for Society, and Good for Business” on October 13, 2015. Panelists Lori Fox, Janice Jabido and John Barry joined Hinshaw attorney Todd M. Young to examine the forces at work that shattered the glass closet. From the legal protections that were gradually extended to LGBT employees, to how business changed their attitudes towards LGBT employees, panelists discussed how coming out at work has become a business decision as much as a personal choice.
