Hinshaw partner Cassidy Chivers will present at the Practicing Law Institute (PLI) Seminar "Understanding the Intellectual Property License," on December 6, 2017, at PLI California Center, San Francisco at 4:00 pm PST.
Chivers' presentation is titled "Ethical Issues in Licensing," and will focus on the following topics:
- Candor and deceit
- Communicating with an adverse party
- Out-of-state practice and the unauthorized practice of law
- Competence to handle negotiation
- Application of rules in actual cases
