Lenci will be presenting the "Reinsurance Boot Camp Part II: Allocation and Follow-the-Fortunes/Follow-the-Settlements - Is the Industry Any Clearer Today on Post-Settlement Allocations?" session that will take place at 4:15 PM on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the American Conference Institute's National Forum on Reinsurance Regulation. The session will feature:
- Current reinsurance issues and practice considerations associated with a cedent's loss allocation, including: Assignment of loss across various policies; Loss billings and presentations; Impact of state laws
- Follow-the-fortunes, follow-the-settlements, and the concept of reasonableness
- Recent decisions concerning the scope and possible limits of the follow-the-fortunes and follow-the-settlements doctrines, including USF&G Co. v. American Re-Ins. Co., 20 N.Y.3d 407, 962 N.Y.S.2d 566 (N.Y. 2013)
- Differences between litigation and arbitration
