David Levitt to Present a Decalogue Society of Lawyers CLE on Defining Hate Speech
Event
May 9, 2024
Chicago-based partner David Levitt will be presenting a CLE titled "Defining Hate Speech: When Does Speech Cross the Line?" The event will be hosted by the Decalogue Society of Lawyers and will take place both in-person and virtually via Zoom at Hinshaw's Chicago office on May 9, 2024. The month of May is also Jewish American Heritage Month.
Hate speech's protection under the First Amendment is an untested matter, yet there are reasonable arguments for the government to regulate it. Levitt's CLE aims to define hate speech and its boundaries.
