Zar Khodavandi represents insurance clients in a wide range of coverage-related matters. He primarily handles insurance-related disputes and helps clients understand potential coverage issues, including both first and third-party claims. Zar also advises on potential liabilities and obligations stemming from contractual business agreements.
Zar has substantial experience with matters concerning forklift operation at warehouse facilities. His background further includes advising clients on business practices and helping them develop new policies, and ensure compliance regarding OSHA and the Illinois Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act.
Before joining Hinshaw, Zar furthered his civil litigation experience with a firm in Chicago. Focusing primarily on business and insurance law matters, he handled a variety of cases, including multi-party litigation stemming from construction activities for IDOT and City of Chicago contracts.
During law school, Zar was a member of the Corporate Law Society. In addition to his law degree, he also earned a certificate in business law.
