William Ballentine represents both small and large businesses as well as sole proprietors across different sectors in commercial disputes and transactions. He has assisted with matters involving contract disputes, intellectual property, real estate, and general corporate issues.
Bill was previously a summer associate with Hinshaw. He also served as a graduate fellow with the Business Law Clinic at Loyola University Chicago School of Law through the Public Interest Law Initiative Fellowship Program. In these roles, Bill assisted both for-profit and not-for-profit startup businesses with issues involving entity formation, taxation, corporate law and intellectual property.
While a law student, Bill served as Editor-in-Chief of the Chicago-Kent Law Review, and as a legal research and writing assistant. He also was a legal extern in the Chicago office of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge John R. Blakey of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
