Tyler Thompson defends both businesses and individuals in a variety of complex litigation matters. He partners with his clients—which span a variety of industries—to provide them with simple, cost-effective solutions to their legal problems.
Tyler's extensive litigation experience includes drafting and handling complaints and all types of motions. In addition to advising financial institutions, Tyler has also assisted with disputes involving complex business litigation and bankruptcy, as well as foreclosure actions.
Before joining Hinshaw, Tyler practiced at the headquarters of a regional, Miami-based firm. During his tenure, he managed and maintained a significant litigation caseload, as well as responding to regulatory complaints on behalf of financial institutions.
Tyler also held a number of clerkships and internships while attending law school. He was a law clerk with a Miami-based firm and a legal intern at the Federal Public Defender's Office in Miami. Tyler also worked as a legal intern at the University of Miami School of Law's Innocence Clinic.

Tyler was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He is an avid sports fan, and especially loves all Dallas sports teams, with an emphasis on the Cowboys. In his spare time he loves to travel, scuba dive, and snow ski. He is also an avid trivia player and was chosen as the captain of the law school trivia team in competition against the medical school.
