Nathan (Nate) Friedman is a litigator focused on complex areas of malpractice and governmental liability matters. Nate is experienced in arguing dispositive, discovery, and pretrial motions, in addition to taking and defending depositions. With the ability to handle every stage of an adversarial proceeding, Nate takes a creative approach to achieving successful results for clients.
Prior to joining Hinshaw, Nate was an associate at a litigation boutique firm in Louisiana with a statewide reputation for being meticulous and aggressive litigators in the areas of medical malpractice, insurance defense, and complex commercial litigation.
While in law school, Nate clerked for the Honorable Judge Dawn Amacker of the 22nd Judicial District Court, St. Tammany Parish.

Nate and his wife, Ellen, and their two sons, Jerry and Leo, reside in Rockford, Illinois.
