Michael Mauceri represents Fortune 500, international, national, and regional companies in complex commercial litigation, focusing primarily on matters involving product liability. Michael's practice experience spans a wide variety of consumer and industrial products and sectors, and his defense work has included the representation of manufacturers, distributors, retail, logistics, construction, and design corporations and professionals.
Leveraging his deep litigation experience and focus on the products space, Michael helps all manner of uniquely positioned clients in the marketplace navigate the legal process, while striving to create a factual and procedural playing field tilted toward his clients at the time of trial.
In addition to his product liability practice, Michael's work has included the defense of officers and directors against a variety of professional liability and breach of fiduciary duty and contract claims, as well as the representation of financial institutions and their employees in complex securities violations and enforcement actions before the SEC and FINRA.
Before joining Hinshaw, Michael practiced at one of the nation's top product liability litigation firms, where he represented Fortune 500 companies in commercial litigation and product liability disputes. This work included the representation of international locomotive manufacturers, medical device suppliers, and large online retail platforms in complex litigation totaling hundreds of millions of dollars between public and private actors.
During his undergraduate studies, Michael served as an intern in the Office of the Director-General at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, where he prepared briefs and speeches used by the Director-General in meetings of international concern. It was there, while furthering his understanding of the legal issues intertwined with the UN as an intergovernmental organization, that Michael's interest in law began.
