He frequently represents and counsels property owners, developers, contractors, design professionals, sureties, and insurers in construction matters, from contract drafting and negotiation to dispute resolution and litigation. He assists with a wide range of construction projects, both in the state of Florida and nationally, including those involving the construction of hotels, airports, courthouses, water-treatment plants, assisted living facilities, and residential properties. Justin has experience handling construction project disputes involving delays, inefficiencies, defects, liens, bonds, insurance, loss, catastrophic injury, and death.

Prior to joining Hinshaw, Justin practiced in all aspects of construction law and commercial litigation at a South Florida regional law firm. While there, he bolstered his litigation experience by working on complex construction disputes in state and federal courts, including those involving the defense of claims brought under the False Claims Act/Ordinance (i.e., qui tam actions) and the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA).

While in law school, Justin was an Article Selection Editor for Florida State University's Journal of Transnational Law & Policy.
