Joyce Wu concentrates her practice on representing insurance carriers in coverage matters, particularly construction. She also analyzes third-party policies such as commercial general liability, excess, and umbrella policies.
Prior to serving the insurance industry, Joyce practiced general liability defense relating to personal injury, premises liability, wrongful death, toxic torts, multi-district litigation, and class action litigation.
Prior to joining Hinshaw, she served as coverage counsel for policyholders in the construction industry. While in law school, Joyce was an executive editor at the Inter-American Law Review.
Joyce has a master's degree in business administration from the University of Miami, which provides value to her practice as a coverage attorney.

Joyce is a first-generation Chinese-American who originally hails from Brooklyn, New York. When she is not in the office, she enjoys spoiling her three dogs, Joey, Pickles, and Zeke, with love, left-overs, and long drives along the A1A. She is an avid movie, television, and Nintendo enthusiast, though she also enjoys reading books and long-form articles.
