Professional Background

Prior to joining Hinshaw, John was a clerk for the Honorable Karen K. Specie, Chief Bankruptcy Judge, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Florida for two years following his graduation from law school. While he was still a student, John was a law clerk for a firm in Jacksonville, Florida and a summer intern for the Honorable Marcia Morales Howard, District Judge, United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. In law school, John was an active member of the moot court team, worked as a research assistant, was named to the Dean's List every semester and received a book award for the highest grade in Torts.

Before beginning his career as a lawyer, John was a senior underwriter for an insurance services company in Jacksonville, Florida. He also worked as a paralegal specialist for the 927th Corps Support Battalion of the Florida Army National Guard.
