Joann Lee focuses her practice on litigation relating to life, health, and disability insurance and welfare benefit plans, managed care, insurance bad faith and ERISA. She has significant experience in the representation of managed care entities in payor-provider billing disputes. This includes issues related to medical necessity, level of care, and reimbursement, in both State and Federal courts, as well as before the American Arbitration Association and JAMS Arbitration tribunals.
Before joining Hinshaw, Joann practiced at a boutique firm in Los Angeles, where she advised clients in large, complex, multi-party litigation involving thousands of claims with millions of dollars in dispute. She also represented more than 20 Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans in a diverse range of matters in California.
