Jessica Johnson concentrates on representing and defending regional and Fortune 500 financial institutions in commercial litigation claims involving tort, contract, and statutory violations involving complex commercial actions. She also handles contract disputes and creditors' rights.
Jessica also advises healthcare clients—individuals and medical institutions—on industry-related regulations and compliance and malpractice claims. Leveraging her background and experience with legal briefs and navigating a variety of complex legal issues, she also defends their interests in litigation.
Before joining Hinshaw, Jessica furthered her experience as a licensed litigation law clerk with a personal injury firm. In her role, Jessica primarily assisted with cases involving workers' compensation and social security. As a licensed student during law school, she also provided legal assistance to homeless individuals with chronic illnesses and evaluated and summarized medical records to determine social security eligibility. Jessica also worked as a law clerk for a national insurance company, handling complex cases involving personal injury issues.
While pursuing her M.A. in Criminology, Jessica interned with the United States Department of Commerce. She provided research and analysis for cases and held a secret security clearance during her tenure. Jessica also worked for the State of Illinois' Department of Juvenile Justice.
