Gilberto Gonzalez represents architects, engineers, attorneys, and project managers in complex professional liability disputes and disciplinary actions. He works with his clients to mitigate risk and achieve desired goals. He also counsels clients in a variety of business and commercial transactions through the entire life of a deal.
Before joining Hinshaw as an associate, Gilberto gained meaningful legal experience as a law clerk with the firm. During law school, he served various roles. As a Law 500 instructor at the University of Illinois College of Law, Gilberto taught foreign-trained post-graduate attorneys legal research and legal writing. At the nonprofit corporation Land of Lincoln Legal Aid, he successfully represented victims of domestic abuse, obtaining orders of protection against their abusers. He served as a judicial clerk assisting judges with legal research on multifaceted issues at the Will County Court House. Gilberto was an editor for the University of Illinois Law Review, the International Student Association president, and a Latino and Latina Law Student Association member.

Gilberto appreciates fitness and enjoys going to the gym. He is a lifetime boxing practitioner and has participated in various tournaments. Gilberto also enjoys reading classic novels and learning new languages.
