Esther Choi represents private and public entities in a broad range of civil litigation matters involving employment disputes, constitutional violations, tort defense, and construction disputes. She has successfully resolved cases through settlement negotiation, pre-trial settlement conferences, and dispositive motions. Esther is active in all stages of litigation and committed to providing clients with simple, strategic solutions that best suit their goals and interests.
Having served as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago's Law Department—within the Employment Litigation and Federal Civil Rights Litigation Divisions—she gained extensive litigation experience representing the City of Chicago and its employees in Section 1983, Section 1981, and Title VII lawsuits.
Esther also worked with the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law Inc. While there, she represented victims of housing and employment discrimination before federal and state agencies. During law school, Esther clerked for the Honorable Bertina Lampkin of the Illinois Appellate Court and served as the summer editor for the Cornell Law School's Legal Information Institute.
