Esther Choi defends the interests of clients in litigation. She primarily counsels entities and employees on matters involving government, civil rights, and constitutional law disputes.
Having served as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago's Law Department—within the Employment Litigation and Federal Civil Rights Litigation Divisions—she has substantial trial and litigation experience. During her tenure, Esther represented the City of Chicago and its employees in lawsuits involving Section 1983, Section 1981, and Title VII.
Esther's background further includes working with the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law Inc. While there, she worked with victims of housing discrimination and represented them before federal and state agencies.
During law school, Esther gained invaluable experience through internships, externships, fellowships, and clinics. She also severed as the summer editor for the Cornell Law School's Legal Information Institute.
