Edgard Cespedes is an insurance services attorney. He primarily represents clients in first and third party insurance matters, focusing on those involving property and casualty claims and complex commercial construction disputes.
Prior to joining Hinshaw, Edgard practiced at a national firm based in Ft. Lauderdale. He also worked for a civil litigation firm, gaining further knowledge on property insurance matters. Additionally, Edgard has a background that includes medical malpractice, personal injury and commercial litigation matters.
During law school, Edgard gained experience from several internships, including working for the University of Miami's Innocence Clinic and the Health Rights Clinic. As part of the recognition for his work with the Health Rights Clinic, Edgard received the Dean's Certificate of Achievement Award. After interning at the Health Rights Clinic, he became the research assistant for Director JoNel Newman. Edgard was also an intern for the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Special Agent Virtual Program and the Clinic of Law and Maritime Resources Policy in Haifa, Israel.

Edgard was born and raised in Miami, FL. His family is from Nicaragua. He is an avid sports fan, who enjoys cheering on the Miami Hurricanes and Miami Heat.
