Brett Thomaston represents insurance carriers in complex insurance coverage matters, focusing on claims arising under general liability, excess and umbrella liability, employer's liability, D&O, and other commercial insurance policies.

Prior to joining Hinshaw, Brett was an associate at an international insurance litigation firm. There, Brett gained significant litigation experience handling complex commercial and toxic tort matters, including extensive representation of prominent food service and hospitality businesses.

During law school, Brett served as the Editor-in-Chief of the John Marshall Law Review. He was also an extern with the Cook County State’s Attorney, Felony Trial Division.
