Brendon Rios provides legal counsel in business and insurance coverage disputes at all stages of litigation. He ensures clients are informed throughout the entire process and develops tailored solutions appropriate to each case. He has experience in both state and federal courts.

Prior to joining Hinshaw, Brendon’s practice focused primarily on defending employers and insurance carriers in litigation of liability claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, including the Defense Base Act.

While attending law school, Brendon helped international victims of human trafficking and political and social injustice seek asylum in the U.S. In addition, Brendon assisted in preparing Houston’s first cohabited evacuation shelter manual for individuals and domestic pets, a project that stemmed from the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in 2017.

Brendon is a Texas native who moved to Miami to enjoy the beautiful beaches, sunshine, and culture. He has lived a vegan lifestyle since 2015. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time at the beach with his husband or at home with his goldendoodle and two rescue cats.
