Blerta Mileti concentrates her practice on business and commercial transactions. She has wide-ranging experience with real estate matters, including office leasing, commercial mortgage lending, and loan servicing. In her practice, Blerta assists clients with drafting and negotiating deal documents, performing due diligence, and facilitating smooth closings.

Professional Background

Prior to joining Hinshaw, Blerta was a corporate in-house attorney with a Fortune 50 company where she advised on leasing matters, and other commercial transactions. She also worked as in-house counsel for the U.S. real estate investment and advisory division of a global asset management company.

During law school, Blerta was a summer associate with a large firm in Des Moines, Iowa, where she worked on both litigation and transactional matters. She was also a law clerk for the American Bar Association Commission on Immigration.

In addition to her other academic accomplishments, Blerta received the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence for the highest grade earned in "Conflict of Laws." Additionally, she assisted a professor with research for the publication of a law textbook on international finance and development.
