Alina Yaniz advises clients on a wide range of civil litigation, focusing on insurance-related matters. She has defended cases involving first party property issues, as well as personal injury and premises liability litigation. Alina handles all aspects of litigation and works with clients to ensure they are prepared for depositions, mediations, and if necessary, trial.
Prior to joining Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, Alina practiced at a firm in Miami. She also worked at the headquarters of a major Miami-based construction company and was a volunteer attorney for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida.
During law school, Alina gained experience through a number of clerkships and internships, including positions with NBC Universo and HBO Latin America. Alina also participated in a Student Honors Program, which allowed her to work with the Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Enforcement.
Before beginning her legal career, Alina worked in broadcasting, including positions with WLTV Univision 23 in Miami and Telemundo. She was also a Bilingual Anchor and Reporter for News 12 Networks in the Bronx.
