Lisa Plaza is a paralegal with more than 15 years of litigation experience. She excels at managing the litigation process and has extensive knowledge of the judicial system and courtroom procedures.

Ms. Plaza has assisted more than 25 attorneys in 15 separate trials in both state and federal court, locally and nationwide. She is skilled in: legal and investigative research; all aspects of discovery, including electronic discovery; case and document management, with a specific focus on document-intensive cases; drafting legal documents and correspondence; witness location; database management; deposition preparation; expert witness preparation; trial preparation; and document review.

Ms. Plaza has assisted on cases the firm has handled on behalf of many high-profile clients, including the Chicago White Sox and the Cook County Sheriff's Office.

Ms. Plaza joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in December 2003. Previously she was a paralegal in the employee benefits area with Baker & McKenzie, in Chicago.


Ms. Plaza is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in sports administration at Northwestern University.

Ms. Plaza was the lead Chicago Bears correspondent for (presently USA Today Fantasy Sports) from 2004 until 2006. She has been employed by the Chicago Bears Football Club as part of the media relations game day staff since 2005. Ms. Plaza also represented the National Football League as a member of the public relations team during the 2015 and 2016 NFL Draft.
