James Nally focuses his practice in the area of product liability. As a fierce advocate for his clients, James has obtained several favorable verdicts. He has counseled clients in subrogation and coverage disputes involving dual employers and represented clients in proceedings at all stages of litigation including oral argument, mediation and trial. He has experience litigating medical malpractice, labor law and class actions to trial and resolution. He is involved in all areas of the litigation process from research to the drafting of motions and briefs, to conducting depositions and jury selection.

In addition to litigation, James has represented clients in real estate transactions from contract to closing.

Professional Background

Prior to joining Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, James practiced at the headquarters of a Manhattan-based medical defense firm. He also worked for nearly two years at a firm in Bayside, New York representing small businesses.

James gained a wealth of knowledge through a variety of legal externships and internships during law school, including work with the Suffolk County Attorney's Tort Law Bureau and Nassau Legal Services. Prior to law school, James worked as a paralegal in Garden City, New York for outside counsel to a major New York Insurance Company.
