Irene Boyer has more than 25 years of experience as a paralegal, docket administrator and legal secretary; 18 years of which have been focused on assisting attorneys with intellectual property matters.

Ms. Boyer has assisted with both patent and trademark matters involving domestic and foreign prosecution. Her extensive experience also includes assisting with cases involving the medical, biotech, corporate, pharmaceutical, financial, real estate, restaurant and sports industries.

Ms. Boyer monitors intellectual property laws worldwide for a number of client portfolios, and has substantial experience with intellectual property docket software.

Professional Background

Ms. Boyer joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in November 2006. Previously she was for five years an intellectual property docket coordinator with DLA Piper Rudnick.

From 1991 to 2001, Ms. Boyer worked for Banner & Witcoff, Ltd., first as a legal secretary and marketing assistant for seven years, and then for three years as an international docket coordinator and trademark paralegal.

From 1988 to 1991 she was an administrative assistant at Amoco Corporation, and from 1986 to 1988 was a legal secretary at the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Ms. Boyer began her business career in 1984 as an executive assistant in the Environmental Control Division of the Office of the Attorney General of Illinois.
