David Brown is a litigator who represents policy holders and carriers in insurance coverage disputes, as well as employers in discrimination, retaliation, harassment and whistleblower actions. He is particularly experienced in assessing and managing the reasonableness of attorneys' fees in the context of insurance coverage disputes and ongoing mass tort and other complex litigation. In addition, David has served as an expert witness regarding the reasonableness and allocation of attorneys' fees and related costs.

Professional Background

Prior to joining Hinshaw, David practiced in the Chicago office of a large Philadelphia-based firm. During that time, he also served as a Senior Director of Legal Fee Solutions LLC.

While in law school, David served as a law clerk for the felony trial division of the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in Chicago.
