In particular, they discuss a recent Ohio appellate court decision—McFarland v. Niekamp, Weisensell, Mutersbaugh & Mastrantonio LLP—that reversed a firm's summary judgment victory in a legal malpractice suit, rejecting the argument that a lateral never properly brought the underlying matter to the firm, and was only "moonlighting" when he worked on it.
