Hinshaw's Janis Meyer to Present on "Professional Responsibility in the Digital World" at PLI Technotainment Conference
Janis Meyer—a New-York based partner and member of the Lawyers for the Profession® and Professional Liability practices at Hinshaw—is scheduled to present at the Practising Law Institute (PLI) Program "'Technotainment' 2017: Distributing Content Across Multiple Platforms" October 16, 2017, at PLI New York Center, New York at 4:00 pm EDT.
Meyer's presentation "Coloring within the Ethical Lines: A Look at Some Professional Responsibility Issues Arising in Our Digital World" will explore ethical concerns raised in light of recent hacking incidents. Topics include: the responsibilities of lawyers in regards to understanding technology, keeping client information confidential, training and supervising the lawyers and non-lawyers who work for them to avoid or minimize such incidents, and professional responsibility issues when embracing social media.
