Amee Mikacich advises clients in product and premises liability, labor and employment, and commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout California. She has successfully resolved or tried to verdict hundreds of cases on behalf of her clients, which include owners, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, contractors, premise owners, and entrepreneurs in business and technology. A portion of these cases involve personal injury claims related to alleged exposures to various substances and materials, often in occupational or environmental settings.

Before joining Hinshaw, Amee practiced at a San Francisco-based international firm for nearly five years. She began her legal career in Oakland, California, where she practiced for many years with a highly respected litigation firm.

  • Lytle v. Berkeley Unified School District, Alameda County: The case involved race, retaliation, and disability discrimination tried to verdict.
  • Dyer v. Ford Motor Company, San Francisco County: Products liability, brake defect, wrongful death case successfully resolved during trial.
  • Gambucci v. Oakfabco, Inc., Los Angeles County: The case involved product liability and personal injury against a boiler manufacturer resulting in dismissal at trial.
  • Bulnes v. Caltrain, San Mateo County: A railroad crossing fatality tried to verdict.
  • Bergquist v. General Motors Corp., Los Angeles County: Product liability mesothelioma tried to verdict.
  • Ledford v. General Motors Corp., Los Angeles County: Product liability mesothelioma tried to verdict.
  • Davis v. Bay Area Rapid Transit District, Alameda County: Premises liability and elevator-related personal injury tried to verdict.
  • Kennedy v. Bay Area Rapid Transit District, Alameda County: Successfully secured a verdict in favor of The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART), charged with negligent train operation and injury to a child.
  • Porter v. Bay Area Rapid Transit District, Alameda County: Train versus pedestrian-related quadriplegia tried to verdict.
  • DSC v. Negrin, E.D. Texas: Successfully resolved during trial a case involving breach of contract, industrial espionage, and intellectual property.
