Webinar

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to present a webinar miniseries on issues relating to the HIPAA Omnibus Final Rule. Health care providers and business associates alike will benefit from these focused programs that will delve into specific challenges posed by the Final Rule. These complimentary webinars are designed to identify issues for providers and business associates, and will provide tools and action items that attendees can apply to their own circumstances to help them achieve their compliance objectives.

This program is the second in the series.

The Omnibus Final Rule brought significant changes to previous definitions and requirements for business associates and covered entities subject to HIPAA's privacy and security rules. The presenters will focus on the new expanded definition of who is a “business associate,” the new duties and liabilities for business associates and their subcontractors under the Final Rule, and specific actions covered entities and business associates should take to achieve compliance.
