November 27, 2007 – Three Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP partners, Tomislav Z. Kuzmanovic, Michael P. Malone and Thomas R. Schrimpf have been honored as 2007 Wisconsin Super Lawyers by Wisconsin Super Lawyers. All are partners in Hinshaw's Milwaukee, Wisconsin office.
In addition, Wisconsin Super Lawyers has chosen Mr. Malone for the second year in a row as one of the "Top 50 Lawyers" in the state.
Mr. Kuzmanovic practices in the area of litigation, with an emphasis on commercial litigation, construction liability, premises liability, product liability, transportation law, toxic torts, complex litigation, and international and human rights law.
Mr. Malone represents health care entities, including physicians, clinics, hospitals and other health care providers, in a variety of matters, including staff privilege issues, regulatory matters, licensing matters and the defense of medical negligence. He has been the principal trial attorney in more than 75 trials decided by a jury verdict, and also represents other professionals, including attorneys, in disputes. In addition, Mr. Malone has represented numerous other parties in various business disputes, resolved through litigation and by other means.
Thomas Schrimpf has an extensive commercial litigation and appellate practice that emphasizes issues involving insurance coverage, employment and environmental law.
David J. Hanus, a partner in the Milwaukee office, was selected as a "Rising Star." The "Rising Star" designation denotes the top 2.5 percent of all attorneys in Minnesota. Recipients of this honor have practiced law for less than 10 years or are 40 years old or younger.
