Wallace to Serve Fourth Term on South Florida Regional Planning Council

June 22, 2011
MIAMI ― Florida Governor Rick Scott has re-appointed Paul R. Wallace, a partner in Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP’s Miami office, to a fourth consecutive term on the South Florida Regional Planning Council (SFRPC). Mr. Wallace will serve as the Council’s Treasurer through 2011. He has served on the SFRPC since 2004, previously being appointed by Governors Jeb Bush and Charlie Crist.

The SFRPC, a planning and public policy agency, identifies long-term challenges and opportunities facing Southeast Florida and assists the region’s leaders in developing and implementing creative strategies that result in more prosperous and equitable communities, a healthier and cleaner environment, and a more vibrant economy.
Said Ronald L. Kammer, Partner-in-Charge of Hinshaw’s Miami office, “We are pleased that Governor Scott has invested the same trust in Paul that Governors Bush and Crist did.” He added, “Paul’s leadership and vision is helping make Southeast Florida a better place to live and do business.”

Mr. Wallace, whose practice emphasizes first-party property insurance law, represents Citizens Property Insurance Corp., Florida’s state-chartered insurer for coastal properties. He also practices extensively in the areas of real estate law and real estate litigation, specifically title insurance litigation. In addition to his posts on the SFRPC, Mr. Wallace has served in legal positions in the Florida Department of Commerce, U.S. Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration; and U.S. Department of Justice Tax Division.
