Timothy Shelton is a member of the firm’s appellate practice group and has briefed and argued appeals in the five districts of the Illinois appellate court, the Illinois Supreme Court and the Seventh and Eighth Circuits of the U.S. Court of Appeals.
Mr. Shelton’s appellate work focuses in the area of general civil matters with an emphasis on tort litigation, including claims arising from medical malpractice, legal malpractice, accounting malpractice and personal injury.
Mr. Shelton also handles appeals involving insurance coverage, premises liability, products liability, construction and automobile liability, the Workers’ Compensation Act and governmental affairs.
Mr. Shelton joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in September 1994. His experience includes serving a judicial clerkship in the Illinois Appellate Court, Second District.
Mr. Shelton is a member of the Leading Lawyers Network, where he was selected by his peers as a Leading Lawyer in the area of Civil Appellate Law.
