Trial Lawyer Randal N. Arnold Honored with Election to Wisconsin Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates

Veteran trial attorney Randal N. Arnold, a partner with the Milwaukee office of national law firm Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, has been elected to the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

Since 1957, ABOTA has been committed to the preservation of the civil jury trial, "Justice by the People.” Membership is by election only, and is based on significant courtroom experience, personal character and reputation of the candidate. The organization’s general mission is to foster improvement in the ethical and technical standards of practice in the field of advocacy.

Mr. Arnold practices in the area of civil litigation, concentrating on the defense of medical and legal malpractice matters. He also has a significant practice in the area of professional licensing, representing attorneys, physicians, pharmacists and other health care professionals before state licensing boards. He also serves as an advisor to law firms and government agencies on legal ethics and professional responsibility matters.

Mr. Arnold is a former Deputy Administrator of the State of Wisconsin Board of Attorneys’ Professional Responsibility and a former member of the State Bar of Wisconsin District Professional Responsibility Committee for Milwaukee County. He is currently a member of Hinshaw’s Ethics Committee and a co-editor of the firm’s "Lawyers’ Professional Liability Update." He also serves on the Human Rights Review Board of the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. He has served as President of the Board of Directors of Hillel Academy and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.

Mr. Arnold is a member of the Wisconsin and Milwaukee Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics, and the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers.

Mr. Arnold is a frequent author and lecturer in the areas of medical malpractice and legal ethics. He received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1980.
