Tracy L. Kramer

Practice Focus
Tracy Kramer represents insurers in first- and third-party insurance coverage disputes during litigation as well as the pre-suit claim process.

Ms. Kramer’s practice includes prosecuting declaratory judgment actions regarding coverage conditions and exclusions, and defending breach of contract and declaratory judgment actions. In addition, she conducts Examinations Under Oaths of insureds and provides coverage opinions to her clients.

Ms. Kramer is experienced in all aspects of trial practice, including conducting discovery; taking and defending depositions of insureds and third parties; drafting pleadings and arguing a variety of motions, including motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment; and conducting mediations, settlement negotiations and trials.

Ms. Kramer also counsels new and expanding property and casualty insurers on best practices for establishing and maintaining proper claims handling procedures, including case flow management, investigation, effective early resolution techniques, and settlement conditions.
Professional Background
Ms. Kramer joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in January 2007. Previously she was a senior associate in the Miami office of Butler Pappas Weihmuller Katz Craig for four years.

She began her legal career in 1995. In addition to serving as a law clerk for six months with the Third District Court of Appeal, Ms. Kramer was a litigation associate with several Miami-area firms before joining Butler Pappas in 2002.

In addition to her other law school accomplishments, Ms. Kramer was a member of the Dean’s List. During her undergraduate studies, she was a member of the Golden Key Honor Society, as well as the Dean’s List.

She is a member of The Florida Bar.
