MINNEAPOLIS ― The national law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Suzanne Jones and Jacob Woodard have joined the firm’s Minneapolis office. Ms. Jones concentrates her practice on representing insurance companies in complex coverage litigation. Mr. Woodard will focus on matters involving commercial litigation, insurance coverage and environmental law. Their additions will expand the firm’s already comprehensive capabilities to assist insurers and other businesses with legal matters throughout the Upper Midwest.
Ms. Jones is a member of Hinshaw’s Insurance Services group, which has served the insurance industry for more than 70 years. The lawyers in this group provide legal counsel in many areas, including commercial insurance, corporate insurance transactions, reinsurance, class actions and market conduct claims, as well as insurance regulatory matters.
Mr. Woodard represents insurers in coverage opinions and claims coordination as well as in litigation concerning general liability, excess and surplus lines and directors’ and officers’ coverages. His commercial litigation practice focuses on advising businesses on potential adversarial proceedings, litigation and arbitration.
Ms. Jones earned her J.D. in 2008 from the University of St. Thomas School of Law. While in law school, she served as an extern to the Honorable Earl Carroll, U.S. District Court, Arizona. Mr. Woodard received his J.D. and an International Law Certificate from the University of Tulsa College of Law, in 2002.
