Hinshaw has a national practice representing architects, engineers and other design professionals in transactional as well as a wide range of litigated matters arising from the design and construction process. We have represented the very largest firms as well as solo practitioners in their defense against breach of contract, construction delay claims, professional negligence, construction defect, mechanic's liens and personal injury claims. We also represent architects, engineers and design professionals in cases involving discrimination or deceptive business practices claims.

In addition to providing litigation counsel, our attorneys counsel and advise architects, engineers and design professionals in a host of transactional and operational matters, including drafting and negotiating construction contracts, evaluating and obtaining insurance policies and fee collection. We also provide advice on office practices and policies with the goal of minimizing risk and liability claims.
