Sebastian Named Vice-Chair of ABA Section Committee

CHICAGO ― John E. Sebastian, a Partner in the Chicago office of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, has been named as a vice-chair of the American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section’s Fidelity and Surety Law Committee. The appointment becomes effective August 1, 2010.

Mr. Sebastian is chair of Hinshaw’s Fidelity & Surety Practice Group and focuses his practice primarily in the areas of surety bond, construction and commercial litigation. He has represented sureties, contractors, architects, engineers, design/builders, and trade contractors in payment disputes, design defect claims, delay claims, defective work claims, and contractor, subcontractor and owner bankruptcies. Mr. Sebastian also handles complex commercial litigation involving fidelity bond claims, common law fraud, breach of contract matters and preserving and prosecuting creditors’ claims in bankruptcy.
