Pena Continues on Bar Association Board

MIAMI, Fla.Ronald Pena, a Partner in the Miami office of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, has been appointed to a third term on the Dade County Defense Bar Association (DCDBA) board of directors. Mr. Pena served as president of the association in 2007 – 2008, is a member of the organization’s Steering Committee and has been a board member since 2009.

The Dade County Defense Bar Association (DCDBA) has been serving civil defense attorneys in the Miami area since it was founded in 1965. The association provides CLE seminars, judicial receptions and networking opportunities for attorneys who practice primarily in the fields of insurance, personal injury and commercial defense litigation. Its bi-monthly CLE luncheons feature presentations by attorneys, prominent judges, and expert witnesses from the community.

Mr. Pena practices in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on commercial litigation as well as the defense of transportation companies. In addition to his roles with the DCDBA, he is a founding board member of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Historical Society; a member of the Put Something Back Pro Bono Project, a joint program by the Dade County Bar Association and the Eleventh Judicial Circuit to provide free legal service to the needy population of Miami-Dade County; and a board member of the Dade County Historical Society, which involves education and preservation of the history of the legal system in Dade County.
