Partner Thomas K. Berg Assumes New Leadership Position as Director of the Minnesota Region of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP

Minneapolis, January 1, 2005 Effective January 1, 2005, partner Thomas K. Berg will assume the position of Director of the Minnesota Region for national law firm Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP. As Regional Director, Mr. Berg will serve a critical management role within the firm, ensuring that members of the region provide high-quality representation to clients and contribute to the financial success of the firm. 

“Given Tom’s experience in leadership positions while in public service, he is a perfect fit for the role,” said Hinshaw Chairman Donald L. Mrozek. “While we welcome Tom, we also are most grateful for the years of service in the Regional Director position given by Hinshaw partner LJ Rotman.”

Mr. Berg’s practice encompasses health law, complex commercial litigation and mediation, and the negotiation of business and governmental contracts. Mr. Berg served as the United States Attorney for Minnesota, litigating both civil and criminal matters and also served four terms as a State Representative in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

Mr. Berg is a member of the American Bar Association, the Minnesota Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association. He joined Hinshaw in May 1997.  He is active in several civic and environmental organizations.
