John Felton has established a diverse civil practice since he began his legal career in 1990. He represents hospitals, doctors and nurses against claims of medical negligence. Mr Felton’s practice also includes the defense of people insured by several major insurance companies against claims arising from motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, commercial liability and violations of the Animal Control Act.

In his commercial litigation practice, Mr. Felton represents corporate clients in commercial matters and has tried several commercial cases to verdict.

Mr. Felton has extensive jury trial experience having tried cases to jury throughout northern Illinois as well as arguing several appeals before the state appellate courts.

In addition to his civil practice Mr. Felton also has a real estate practice and represents buyers and sellers in real estate transactions. He also represents several banks in foreclosure actions. Mr. Felton joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in May 2002. Previously, he was, for 12 years, a partner at Lindner, Speers and Reuland, P.C.

He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Will County Bar Association and Kane County Bar Association.
