Aimee Delaney Authors Article on Criminal Background Checks in Today's General Counsel

Aimee E. Delaney, Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP partner and leader of the firm's Labor & Employment Practice Group, authored the article, "Criminal Background Checks a Dilemma for Employers," in the Labor & Employment Section of the October-November 2015 Issue of Today's General Counsel.

The article discusses the effect the government has on an employers rights to disqualify a potential applicant for hire based on their criminal background.

Ms. Delaney counsels employers on the employment relationship on matters from hire through termination, including leave and disability considerations, classifcation issues, employee misconduct and other disciplinary matters. She also works with management on training in anti-harrassment, anti-discrimination, and other employment law related topics.
