Los Angeles – Respected employment attorney Clint D. Robison has joined the Los Angeles office of national law firm Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP as a partner. Prior to joining Hinshaw, he was a shareholder in the Los Angeles office of Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley.
Mr. Robison’s employment practice provides both counseling and litigation services to public and private companies. He is experienced in handling all aspects of employment litigation, including wage and hour matters, discrimination claims, employment contracts, retaliation claims, sexual harassment claims, and Americans with Disabilities Act issues. His clients include financial institutions, restaurants, manufacturers and other business entities.
"Clint brings with him a great deal of experience in employment as well as commercial litigation matters and will help us better serve our clients who have these needs," said John Sheller, partner-in-charge of Hinshaw's Los Angeles office. "We are very glad to have him join our expanding Los Angeles office." Hinshaw's Los Angeles office was established in 2002 and is currently comprised of 19 attorneys and 14 staff members.
Mr. Robison also has substantial experience in commercial litigation involving financial institutions and their operational issues, including Uniform Commercial Code matters. He has successfully tried cases before juries and has engaged in more than 100 arbitrations and mediations including complex and multi-plaintiff matters.
Additionally, Mr. Robison is known for conducting internal corporate investigations into sensitive and confidential matters touching on a variety of regulatory and human resources issues, including those arising under Sarbanes-Oxley, Nasdaq Corporate Governance Rules, and state and federal employment laws.
Mr. Robison is very active in various organizations within the business community. As a member of the Government Affairs Committee for the Professionals in Human Resources Association he has testified before the Employment Development on behalf of employer groups concerning the implementation of key employment legislation in California and has experience working with members of Congress in evaluating pending banking legislation. He received his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1991.
