Natasha Alcivar focuses her practice in the areas of products liability and personal injury defense. She also has experience handling class action matters, admiralty and construction defect cases.

Ms. Alcivar has served as litigation counsel for cruise lines, pharmaceutical companies, a Fortune 500 retailer, a crane manufacturer, general contractors and real estate developers.
Professional Background
Ms. Alcivar joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in September 2008. Previously she was a partner at Mase & Lara, P.A., in Miami.

During law school Ms. Alcivar served a judicial internship in the summer of 1999 to the Honorable Melinda Harmon, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas. She began her career as an associate at Cole, Scott & Kissane P.A. in 2000. In 2001 she moved to Walton, Lantaff, Schroeder & Carson, P.A., where she spent three years before joining Mase & Lara.

Ms. Alcivar is a member of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, Dade County Bar Association and the Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade County.

She was recognized as one of the “Top Up and Comers” in the January 2012 edition of the South Florida Legal Guide.

Ms. Alcivar speaks Finnish fluently.
Community Service Activities
Ms. Alcivar served as a member of the board of directors of ArtsSpring, Inc., a not-for-profit, arts-based organization from 2004 to 2007.

She is a 2007 recipient of the Dade County Bar Association’s “Pro Bono Award for Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.”
