Linda Streeter devotes her practice to the defense of professional liability claims, with particular focus on the defense of attorneys in malpractice litigation. She also represents real estate professionals, accountants and insurance brokers in their professional liability matters.

Ms. Streeter’s litigation practice extends to the handling of construction defect claims, representation of employers in employment litigation primarily involving sexual harassment and discrimination matters, complex breach of fiduciary duty claims and business and employment disputes.

Her representative cases include Skarbrevik v. Cohen, England & Whitfield (1991) 231 Cal.App.3d 692, 282 Cal.Rptr. 627, which stands for the legal principle that an attorney's representation of a close corporation does not create an attorney-client relationship with its shareholders merely because the attorney's actions on behalf of the corporation also benefit the shareholders. Ms. Streeter joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in July 2006 after a seven-year hiatus from the practice of law to raise a family. Previously, from 1996 to 1999, she was of counsel at the Pasadena law firm of Gutierrez, Preciado & House, where she focused on the defense of governmental entities and employers in sexual harassment and employment discrimination litigation.

From 1985 to 1993, Ms. Streeter was an associate at Haight, Brown & Bonesteel; and from 1982 to 1985, she was an associate at Hillsinger & Costanzo. Ms. Streeter is actively involved in her community. She volunteers her time and talents as a leader in Girl Scouts USA and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
