Practice Focus
Kristi Zentner is a transactional attorney who represents clients in general business, real estate and commercial lending transactions, as well as employment, e-commerce and intellectual property law matters.

In the business and corporate law area, Ms. Zentner assists clients in their choice of entity considerations and entity formations. She also handles mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and the preparation of various types of business agreements.

As a real estate lawyer, she assists clients in commercial purchase and sale transactions, and preparation of common interest community and homeowners association governing documents. She is also involved in commercial lease negotiation and preparation.

Additionally, Ms. Zentner is experienced in handling succession planning for clients and in counseling employers in employment law matters.

In the area of intellectual property law, she has also prepared and negotiated software agreements and license agreements, as well as prosecuted trademarks and copyrights.
Professional Background
Ms. Zentner joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in July 2007. Previously she was for five years an attorney with Mansfield Tanick & Cohen, P.A. She began her legal career in 2000 at the law firm of Fafinski Wallrich & Crema PLLC. During law school she clerked at Meshbesher & Spence Ltd.

Annually since 2002, Minnesota Law & Politics magazine has named Ms. Zentner to its Rising Stars list. Recipients of this award have practiced law for less than 10 years or are 40 years old or younger.

She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, where she is active in its Business Law Section. Ms. Zentner’s professional memberships also include the Hennepin County Bar Association.
