John E. Sebastian, a Partner in the Chicago office of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, has been named a member of the prestigious
Society of Illinois Construction Attorneys (SOICA). Mr. Sebastian joins
Lawrence R. Moelmann and
Kevin R. Sido, partners in Hinshaw’s Chicago office, as a member of the society.
Membership in SOICA is by invitation only. It includes attorneys licensed to practice in Illinois who have devoted a majority of their professional time to the practice or teaching of construction law for a period of at least 10 years immediately preceding nomination; who have made a significant and outstanding service and contribution to the practice of construction law through teaching and lecturing, authorship of books, articles, program materials or other scholarly publications, and/or substantial participation in or leadership of professional or industry organizations and committees concerned with the practice or application of law in construction industry; and who have demonstrated, in the opinion of the other SOICA members, the highest ethical and professional standards of practice.
Mr. Sebastian represents sureties, contractors, architects, engineers, design/builders, and trade contractors in the areas of surety bond, construction, bankruptcy and commercial litigation.
