John T. Meno
John Meno focuses his practice in defending construction defect claims and providing insurance coverage analysis. He has substantial experience in and continues to defend personal injury and commercial litigation matters, and also assists business clients with their creditor rights claims.
Mr. Meno joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in July 2009. Previously, he was an associate at LaMore, Brazier, Riddle & Giampaoli in San Jose, California, where he concentrated his practice in defending against construction defect, personal injury and other insurance claims. Mr. Meno began his legal career as a law and motion attorney for creditor rights firm Sampson & Associates, and in 2006 became an associate at Pettit Kohn Ingrassia & Lutz, P.C., in San Diego. Mr. Meno relocated to Northern California, joining Toschi, Sidran, Collins & Doyle, P.C., and LaMore, Brazier in 2007.
Mr. Meno has been an adjunct professor at California State University East Bay, in Hayward, California, where he taught in the certificated paralegal studies program.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Meno was the Marketing Manager for the Guam Visitors Bureau, and the General Manager of Destination Sales for Northwest Airlines Guam. Mr. Meno also served as a legislative aide and researcher for the 24th and 25th Guam Legislatures, and was the Executive Director of the Guam Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) from 2000 until his return to the United States to attend law school.
Mr. Meno is a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Defense Research Institute (DRI).
Mr. Meno co-edited Hinshaw’s “Selected Issues Affecting Insurance Coverage For Construction Defect Property Damage Claims In California 2009” and has presented on emerging construction defect and coverage issues.
He is also a contributor to the “The Professional Line,” a Hinshaw publication devoted to professional liability issues.
