Jason S. Bentley focuses his practice on toxic tort, environmental remediation, municipal liability and commercial litigation. He is experienced in handling the interplay of state and federal law and in conducting in-depth, factual investigations. In addition, he has extensive deposition experience.
Mr. Bentley's clients have included municipal corporations, local governmental entities, pump manufacturers, valve manufacturers, boiler producers, turbine providers, ceiling tile producers, hot tub manufacturers, alarm system service providers and construction contractors.
Mr. Bentley joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP as a law clerk and became an associate in May 2004.
Prior to joining Hinshaw, he was retained as a research consultant with the Netherlands Consulate General in Chicago where he dealt with the relationship between domestic U.S. law and various international treaties. He has also clerked with a boutique Chicago law firm specializing in personal injury, served as a Public Interest Law Initiative intern with the Cook County Legal Assistance Foundation, and completed a Congressional Affairs Internship with the Drug Enforcement Administration in Virginia.
He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and possesses minor proficiencies in written Arabic and Russian.

Mr. Bentley is a Director on the Governing Board of Heartland International, an organization that promotes civil society in emerging countries by sponsoring and facilitating civic, business and legal training, as well as exchange programs in the U.S. and abroad.
He has also served as an associate of the Literacy Chicago and Chicago Red Cross Auxiliary Boards. Additionally, Mr. Bentley has volunteered with Young Chicago Lakefront and is active in other civic organizations.
