Hinshaw Lawyers Named to Leadership Roles With St. Louis Asian-American Chamber of Commerce

John Mark Hongs has been approved as the general counsel for the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of St. Louis (Chamber). In addition, Lilian H. Doan was appointed as Secretary for the chamber. Mr. Hongs and Ms. Doan are both attorneys in the St. Louis office of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP. The Chamber is St. Louis' first Asian-American Chamber of Commerce, and its founders include Mr. Hongs. This is the inaugural year of the organization.

Mr. Hongs' transactions practice focuses on commercial and business ventures such as the acquisition and disposition of real estate, corporate formation and governance, development and financing, leasing, protection of trade secrets and intellectual property rights regulatory compliance, and shareholder and partnership disputes. His litigation practice focuses on commercial litigation and primarily involve cases relating to construction, contractual disputes, employment issues, municipal and land disputes, state and federal consumer protection laws, unfair trade practices and unlawful competition.

Ms. Doan helps private and public corporations, individuals and municipalities identify and address possible liabilities. Ms. Doan focuses her practice on advising on and defending a variety of matters, including labor and employment, personal injury claims, premises liability, Section 1983, tax appeals, tax increment financing and urban development.
