Glenn S. Banner
Glenn Banner focuses his litigation practice in consumer litigation, general litigation and professional liability matters. He represents clients in a variety of cases involving consumer financial services, professional liability, nursing home litigation, premises liability, automobile negligence, contractual matters, and real estate errors and omissions. In the area of professional liability defense, Mr. Banner represents legal, medical, real estate and other professionals in the state of Florida facing disciplinary actions or other ethics litigation.
As a member of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP’s Consumer & Class Action Practice Group, Mr. Banner represents clients in consumer financial services litigation. His clients in this area include banks, financial and lending institutions, debt collection agencies and mortgage servicers. Mr. Banner litigates lawsuits involving claims brought under various state and federal consumer laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, Truth in Lending Act, Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act and RESPA.
Mr. Banner is experienced in all phases of civil litigation and regularly handles a large, active caseload involving a wide range of matters. He is involved in all facets of litigation, from pre-suit investigation to trial preparation and trial.
Mr. Banner joined Hinshaw in November 2007. Previously he was a litigation associate at Rinaman and Associates, P.A., in Jacksonville, where he focused his practice in automobile negligence, PIP and defending false and suspect medical claims. He was also an associate and civil litigator with McConnaughhay, Duffy, Coonrod, Pope & Weaver, P.A., also in Jacksonville.
While still in law school, Mr. Banner was a legal intern with the City of Jacksonville Office of the General Counsel.
Mr. Banner’s professional associations and memberships include The Florida Bar, Jacksonville Bar Association, Florida Defense Lawyers Association and the Chester Bedell Inn of Court (Associate).
